Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a famous American actor and singer. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), an RN, and Tom Bell, a television news director. Her ancestry is Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish as well as Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her talents within the industry of entertainment in her early years. In 1992, she went to her first audition, and was able to win a role in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent prior to her turning thirteen, and she was subsequently cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. In addition, Bell started taking acting lessons privately. Bell played a small part without credit on the film Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell took part in the Drama and Music Club at Shrine Catholic High School. She was cast as Dorothy in the school production in The Wizard of Oz. Bell was then transferred to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student there. Bell quit the school in 2001, when she landed the role of Becky for Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a credited film, Pootie Tang (2002). The scene she appeared in was cut and the credits are all that depict her. Bell appeared with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
